Let me explain how it is going to work.
Well, the main idea here is that I want you to exchange some opinions about the texts I am going to post. I want you to understand the main idea and to translate some expressions by helping each other.
Our communication will be in English, although sometimes you will have to translate some words to Portuguese and you will also have to discuss about a text which is written in Portuguese, ok?
Why translation? Well, that is the main purpose of this blog. I want to see how some computing devices help you to improve your translation skills in both directions, from Portuguese to English and from English to Portuguese.
How long? Well guys, we do not have so much time. So I expect our course will take around two weeks.
IMPORTANT: We must finish it on time, so I ask you to access our blog everyday. I will only post the following activity after the three of you had answered the present one.
FIRST TASK: Well, since some of you do not know each other I want you to introduce yourselves. You can also post a picture if you want.

I graduated in Letras at Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos, and now I still study there, at Programa de Pós-Graduação em Lingüística Aplicada (together with teacher Lílian). I still don't work as a teacher, but nex year I intend to get a job (and write my master's degree thesis).

I developed my english knowledge by translating videogames and songs...I made an english course at Yazigi, but it was not very worth the time I spent on it...

My name is Maythe and I'm 30 years old!!! I'm lucky because everybody says that I don't seem like that!!! It's great!!! I live in NH with my husband and my cats: Meg and Theo. I’ve no children!!!
I'm taking Languages at Unisinos, this is my second under-graduate course!!! (Oh God!!!). I got a scholarship in the beginning of this year, since then, I take part into a research group. I’m not an English teacher yet, however I do a volunteer job at Horta Comunitária Joana de Ângelis in NH and there I can teach children and teenagers who can’t pay for a free course, you know!!! They love to learn English through songs and movies and I love teach them and share experiences with them. For sure, it’s a rewarding job!!!
